Sennheiser's MOMENTUM headphones in ear are among its most popular active noise cancellation (ANC) headphone models. With a proven track record and a competitive price that is affordable, the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless headphones have tough competition from the latest offerings from Bose, Sony, and Apple however, they provide plenty of features that warrant your consideration if you're in the market for ANC headphones.

The earcups are padded and designed to comfortably fit around your ears. The top of the band, that wraps around your neck, is covered in soft leatherette. The band is flexible enough to fit glasses. I found it to be comfortable for long periods of time.

The MOMENTUM Wireless is a balanced headphone unlike other ANC headphones that over-emphasize highs or bass. This is a great thing as it provides an even representation of music and speech. They do tend to veer into the territory of higher frequencies that are boosted but it's a typical feature of headphones targeted at commuters, since outside noise is likely to compete with low-level music and speech.

As with other top contenders in the ANC category, the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless noise reduction is good. It's not as great as our top ANC headphones however, it's not far off. You can also delay projects by two clicks until the next quarter, making them an excellent choice for school or work.

It is possible to connect the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless to a device via Bluetooth and have the option of using SBC AAC, aptX codecs, or aptX HD. You can also use the headphone's 3.5mm connector to listen to audio sources that don't have Bluetooth support.

The MOMENTUM Wireless comes with a microphone array which allows users to make and receive calls. The microphone is decent but not the best for conversations on the phone. The microphone is still better than the ones on most entry-level headphones.
